While the cottage was very cute and the staff was very friendly, the cottage needs a lot of updating. The bathroom is tiny and the fixtures in the shower were not very secure. The pots and pans in the very compact kitchen were almost unusable as they were burnt and very old. There is only baseboard heat in the bedroom, not the main part of the cottage, so you have to use the fireplace in the main area and that is not very convenient at bedtime if someone is on the sleeper sofa. The sofa is very old and needs to be replaced. The location is nice right at the edge of town and fairly quiet.

I was unable to access the check in procedure until 2:00pm the day of arrival, which was very unsettling, and there were no staff onsite. Cute little period piece cabin, reasonably stocked. Good heat and pressure in the shower. The unit was what I was expecting.

It’s adorable it’s just way smaller than expected. On Orbitz (not the cottage page) it says sleeps 3. It definitely doesn’t. I slept on the leather loveseat and it was horrible unfortunately. Everything else was perfect except it’s really really tiny.

Perfect stay for a relaxing week of hiking.

The hosts Aaron and Stephanie were more than helpful - went the extra mlle to help with a couple of situations that made all the difference in my stay. Only initial frustration - 3 people description was accurate (queen bed and sleeper couch), but space it’s in and arrangement with bath, etc. Was smaller than I expected. However, cozy turned out to be just what I needed, and I highly recommend the place. I’d go back again, but not for 3. 😃

I really enjoyed my 2 night stay at Colorado Cottages. It was during the July 4 holiday, so everything was crowded, including the park. But the cabin was clean, the outdoor grills were great (cooked up some steaks), and the distance to everything is nice. Check in was easy and having a pet-friendly place to stay is what Colorado is all about.
