HI San Diego Downtown - Hostel

Completely adequate. Small private airconditioned room w/ double bed and private bathroom. Shared kitchen and common area was nice to have. But it's a hostel, so no frills otherwise. $270/night for a hostel seems a bit high, but it's the Gaslamp during a major conference @ SDCC, so supply and demand I guess. Friends that made their reservations earlier got rooms @ the Marriott & Omni for less, so it's partially my fault for waiting too long. Bottom line is I would stay again in the same circumstances.

Clean room and AC

This was my first time trying out a hostel after a lifetime of hotels and Airbnb’s and I absolutely LOVED it!!! My bed was more comfortable than my mattress at home, despite it being a twin bunk bed. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need (except the food/ingredients. Obviously you buy that yourself). Shower’s were nice and warm. Had a bit of a locker room smell but it’s easily ignored. Common room was spacious and all the guests were kind. 10/10 would recommend again if you want to save some money and have some independence.

I stayed in this hostel over 2 weeks for my business time in San Diego. This is not my first time, I chose this hostel every single year when my job transited in San Diego. Thank you very much for hosting me during time here. Thank you for all of your helps guys! Each staff here is very helpful, friendly, warm, kinds and treat me like a family. Honestly, I tried to stay most hostel around San Diego, however, with a kind of hostel like this, with cheap price you have to pay, this hostel is the best choice, best option, highest recomendation in downtown San Diego. Bravo and shoutout for all of your hard working to host everyone from around the world! Thank you so much and see you guys again next year!
