We travelled as a family of three and had the top apartment with the best view out over the sea where it is safe to snorkel. It was very spacious and well appointed with two double-bed bedrooms with firm mattresses and a safe. Bedroom 1 has an ensuite Bedroom 2 has a shower room next door which is also accessible from the lounge There is a huge balcony with a table and six chairs where you can eat your breakfast watching the fishermen in their boats search the sea bed every morning. Fruit bats fly close by close enough to touch and even enjoy the banana tree in the garden. It is on a steep hill about 150 meters up a 1 in 4 hill so a car or some level of fitness is required. There are 3 pin 240V electric sockets (UK style) and plenty of them to charge your devices and there is also Wi-Fi in each apartment (free). It is about a 10 minute walk into town where there are shops and restaurants but no pavement some of the way so you will be close to the traffic on a busy(ish) road. There is also no lighting so a torch is essential if walking in at night. Solana can organise car rental for you at a good rate which I would recommend even though there is a bus stop at the bottom of the hill.

We had a fantastic stay in Mahé and truly enjoyed our time at this property. The place was comfortable, well-maintained, and offered a beautiful ocean view that made our stay even more special.
The location is excellent. Very convenient for both markets, restaurants and visiting nearby beaches, which made exploring the island easy and enjoyable.
It’s also a great option for families with kids. The environment felt safe, relaxing, and very family-friendly, allowing us to fully enjoy our time together.
A special thank you to Solana, the landlord, for her exceptional kindness and support throughout our visit. She was incredibly helpful, welcoming, and always available whenever we needed assistance. Her hospitality truly made a difference and made us feel at home.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Mahé.
