On arrival early evening the landlord showed me to my room and was very polite and helpful. The room was very clean. There was a musty smell throughout the room and also the stairs outside. May have had the carpets cleaned at some recent point. The en-suite although large was a bit disappointing as the bath had a fitted shower screen and a shower head holder fitted to the wall but no shower. Room slightly noisy until the kitchen extractors were switched off about 9.30pm, although the landlord did inform me of this on arrival.
At breakfast I ordered a full English which was probably one of the best I have had. Good quality produce and plenty of it. Value for money stay.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Sir Alfred Munnings Hotel. A gem of a place with top notch care from the propriator Mark who was on hand to check us in. Breakfasts were wonderful and the dinner meal we had in the pub was tasty and generous in portions.

Lovely room and Mark and all his staff work very hard to maintain the excellent service they provide. Breakfasts were wonderful and the meals served on the restaurant were exceptional and very good value for .money. would recommend a stay here for anyone. Will definitely return.

We wanted a comfortable, old English BnB with a nice pub downstairs and this fit the bill! Owner was super friendly and helpful, served up a huge and tasty full English breakfast in the warm, historic dining room attached to the pub. The area was quiet and beautiful with an old church down the road. Couldn't have asked for anything more.
