When we vacationed in Newport, Rhode Island (July 2026) we stayed at the Town and Tide Inn for three days. The Inn, with only 12 rooms, was quiet and personal. The innkeepers were delightful and wonderful at making us feel welcome and comfortable. The rooms are spaciously clean and beautifully appointed with a cottage beach vibe. The garden courtyard with the 24-hour coffee shed was our favorite early morning space. The gourmet breakfast served from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM was excellent.
And finally, the single nicest feature of the town and tide is its location. If you can manage a 2-mile stroll you can reach the Mansions, the Cliff walk, the public beach, and the Wharf. This inn sits quite literally in the center of it all. We strongly recommend the Town and Tide Inn if you should have the opportunity to visit Newport.

Stayed at the Town and Tide for three nights this week. What a beautiful property, so clean and updated. Our thanks to the wonderful staff. Serena the innkeeper is awesome. She’s so friendly and hospitable. The girls do an outstanding job in the kitchen preparing a delicious breakfast every morning and the housekeeping staff keep everything immaculate. Great location near Cliff Walk and Bellview Ave. close proximity to shopping and restaurants. Don’t hesitate to book your next get a way here.
