We had a wonderful stay at Mount Royal Hotel. Waking up to the castle view every morning was truly special, and the staff were consistently warm and welcoming.
The room was quite small, with limited storage and no refrigerator. We paid an extra £20 per night for the castle view, and for us, it was worth it.
The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was the strong musty smell in the shower room, which was unpleasant throughout our stay.

Location was great, they had our room ready early. And we loved the breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Great staff, close to Waverly train station. Early check in and welcome drink was especially nice. Would stay here again for certain.

Our room was a wee bit small but the view was beyond compare! Excellent location: Tram from the airport and Waverley Station right across the street for the LNER ride to London
