Super welcoming staff in the center of the city

. This place is in a fantastic location, really close to the city centre, which makes it easy to explore most places on foot. The staff were incredibly friendly, and we were always greeted with the warmest smiles whenever we saw them.
During check-in, Catia not only showed us around the property but also took the time to walk us through where to go, what to see, and what we should do during our stay, which was such a lovely touch.
The free breakfast churros were delicious! The washrooms were clean and well maintained, and the ones on the third floor offered plenty of privacy, which we really appreciated.
They also organise events every day, making it easy to meet and interact with other people staying there and creating a really nice social atmosphere.
Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend staying here!

A lot pf stairs which personally did not bother me but fyi there are up to 100 stairs if you are on the top floor
The light in the hall stays up all night. So when going to the bathroom at 4am, it is a bit tough. I would suggest putting up a dimmer light
There was an issue with one of the bathrooms and repairs were ongoing at 00:30…. It is not very considerate and would recommend doing such things during the day.

Free dinner and breakfast snacks were nice to have.
Not modern: the door locks are old combination locks. You need to memorize three different code combinations, one for each door (entrance, room, upstairs floor). There was no paper towel in the kitchen nor bathrooms. The bathrooms had actual towels to dry hands; which is not hygienic for shared spaces.
Bathrooms could be cleaner, especially the main floor. They smelled like pee. Bathroom are shared among everyone in the hostel, not private for the room.
The room did not have privacy curtains, nor a wall shelf to put my stuff, and nowhere to hang my clothes.
The hostel doesn’t have decent shared spaces. They claim to have a “cinema room” in the upstairs floors, which is just a room with cushions and a projector, but you need to have your own Netflix account or whatever subscription of your own in your phone to stream. There is a large table upstairs as well where you can use a laptop, but the main floor only has the dining room space, which is not comfortable at all.
They offer some tours of the city and Toledo through an external guide but the hostel staff themselves do not give enough help with what to do in the city nor recommendations on where to go to explore the city on your own. For example, I wanted recommendations on where to see a flamenco show, or where to buy leather bags for a good value, and they were unable to help.
