Small wooden house, charming, near forest (nice for birdwatching).

We were situated in a charming small wooden house in the backyard of the house (which is also for rent). It has two comfortable double bed reachable by ladder, suitable for 4 people overall (for family of 4). Although it doesnt have a airconditioning, the temperature inside was just fine comparing with 30 deg outside. Near the forrest and the stream. From the terrace we heard and saw many birds, so if you like birdwatching, or just want to collect bird spieces, you will be delighted (you need to wake up early, of course). Free parking is near house. Check in is easy.

All was ok. Living room and kitchen are really tiny, so for 4 persons it is probably suitable for one or two nights only.

Style over substance

Location was reasonable: not central, but it worked for our purposes (attending a festival just outside the city). The apartment was clean and modern.

The property was not as advertised. The listing claimed that there would be four futon beds, but there were only two, so one of us had to sleep on an airbed for 4 nights. We phoned the host on arrival to explain the situation, but she was argumentative and only agreed to bring us the airbed after several hours of phone calls and messages. The apartment was also missing a washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, fire place, and 'landmark view', all of which were advertised on the listing. When we asked the host about this, she explained that a single listing covered all of her properties. I'd encourage her to reconsider this approach, as it's frankly tantamount to false advertising. I have no interest in the amenities of a property I'm not staying in. In addition, there were a number of minor-to-moderate inconveniences, suggesting that no thought had been given to the guest experience. There was no bedside lamp or plug sockets, no shower head attachment, no hand soap or hand towel, no bathroom bin, no bread knife, no cafetiere/coffee maker, a fridge that didn't keep temperature properly, insufficient seating for the number of people the property was advertised for, and perhaps most shockingly: no curtains! In the height of summer, this meant that light flooded the property from 4am, making it almost impossible to get a full night's sleep. The bathroom was adjacent to the entrance hall, with a transparent internal wall and no frosted window, meaning we had to carefully coordinate use of the front door around everyone's toilet and shower use. The shower taps were back-to-front and the hot water, short-lived. The surrounding area was awash with stray cats, who would roam around the property and enter at leisure; one even darted in through the bathroom window while my friend was showering. The space was clean and modern, but the overall package was style over substance.

Die ruhige Lage sowie das gepflegte Ambiente, der Garten, die Parkmöglichkeit direkt an der Unterkunft und die großzügige Raumhöhe im Appartement im Dachgeschoss. Die Sanierung des Hauses wurde gefühlvoll umgesetzt.
