My Vacation Home


My vacation home is run under a consistent theme: something new—something old (because that’s what I mean by sustainability)
I’ve been awarded four stars. My vacation home is 120 square meters: 4 rooms, including the terrace.

I can accommodate 4 people.

The vacation home, located in the beautiful spa town of Steinbach-Hallenberg near the Rennsteig, offers great hiking opportunities in nature.
With nearby cross-country ski trails, nothing stands in the way of winter sports.
Winter fun is also guaranteed in Oberhof, just 10 km away.
The Rennsteig is perfect for hiking in both summer and winter.
The following towns—Zella-Mehlis, Schmalkalden, Suhl, Meiningen, Eisenach, and Bad Salzungen—with all their sights and recreational activities are also quick and easy to reach, since my vacation home is located on the outskirts of town yet in a central location.
This has the advantage of letting you get from A to B quickly.

For the water lovers among us, there’s a water park in Oberhof.

Spacious entryway
A small foyer provides a relaxing atmosphere
an armchair with a footstool (how you use it is up to your imagination).
I’ll provide you with a small stereo system, a floor lamp—for reading, for example—or a small selection of board games.

Spacious dining area with ground-level access to the kitchen.
The TV area features a small pull-out sofa set and, of course, a TV, ensuring a cozy atmosphere.
High-speed Wi-Fi is available.
From the living area, you can reach the bathroom without any steps; it is equipped with a very large shower featuring a spacious seating area.
It, too, is at ground level.

I provide you with: towels, a hair dryer, and hand soap at a comfortably furnished sink area.
Windows and a ventilation system are provided.
Of course, you won’t have to freeze—underfloor heating and a towel warmer are available.
We haven’t forgotten the little ones either: a diaper pail and a small potty are there for them. Toilet paper is provided—but that goes without saying.
The kitchen is fully equipped—
to name a few examples: dishwasher, fridge-freezer, stove with ceramic cooktop—
—there’s even an egg cup.
You can imagine a fully equipped kitchen—of course, this includes dishwasher tablets, dish soap, paper towels, coffee filters, and so much more...
The vacation rental has two separate sleeping areas, accessible via a staircase.
Everything you need awaits you there—
—and I’ve furnished these spaces with great care as well.
As you can see in my photos, my house also has a large terrace,
where—if you’d like—you can barbecue, relax, and smoke. However, smoking is only allowed there, as smoking is otherwise prohibited inside the house.
You’re welcome to use everything I provide for you.
(Of course, I expect you to treat my belongings with the same care and respect as you would at home.)
For my peace of mind, I’ll collect a security deposit of 100 euros, which you’ll, of course, get back at the end of your stay, provided you leave the house swept and tidy.
This has been made possible with the help of my husband, who will act on my behalf if I’m not available to assist you.
