bad management even ignoring booking.com e mails

Very disappointing experience – particularly the cleanliness and handling of our complaint We booked this villa for four nights around our daughter’s wedding. Unfortunately, on arrival the standard of cleanliness was nowhere near what we expected. There was considerable dust and dirt underneath furniture, cobwebs/dirty areas and a very greasy extractor filter above the hob. It was bad enough that only our daughter stayed at the villa on the first night. The rest of us, including our young grandchild, stayed elsewhere until a cleaner had attended. When I explained the following morning that we had found further issues, the response from the property was “We don’t have sufficient time to clean all the villa.” A cleaner did attend, but when we moved the settee the following day to make room, there was still a significant amount of dirt and debris underneath it, which we photographed. Up until we raised the cleanliness issues, our dealings with the property had been reasonably good. Unfortunately, after we complained about the condition of the villa, I felt there was a noticeable change in the attitude and tone towards us. While the cleaner was there, the property contacted me saying they had heard we were having a wedding at the villa and immediately accused us of violating the rules, even though nothing had taken place at that point. The wedding itself was being held elsewhere. This left us feeling as though we were being treated differently after raising the cleanliness complaint. Once the rules concerning additional guests were explained, I apologised and tried repeatedly to contact the property to discuss the situation and sort it out. My calls were not answered for several hours. I waited rather than simply going ahead. The property subsequently agreed to allow a short traditional gathering for the bride. I confirmed it would be the following day and last no more than an hour, which they acknowledged.

Great opportunity for a fun time

The location and the property as a whole really nice

The middle room is not very convenient. But honestly not too bad.

Fantastic end of summer trip in a beautiful Villa that felt like a home away from home.

Spacious, clean & modern Villa with a lovely rooftop terrace as well as pool area with a spacious garden and BBQ. If you’re visiting, be sure to check out the 24 hour bakery nearby!

Beds and pillows were a bit firm but that’s a personal preference
