About this house rental
This family-friendly, cozy, comfortable, and trendy home was completed in May 2022. It is fully furnished and features an open-concept kitchen equipped with a Jura fully automatic coffee machine. Additional features: underfloor heating, walk-in shower, bathtub, en suite bathroom, washing machine, clothes rack, Wi-Fi, 50-inch flat-screen TV, TV in all bedrooms, storage space for bicycles, 2–3 bicycles available for free use. Features two terraces (east/west-facing) and a partially covered seating area with a grill. Two free parking spaces are available in front of the house.
2 bedrooms on the upper floor, 1 bedroom in the attic with en suite bathroom, and Flat-TV.Es two additional people can sleep in the living room on the first floor (sleep sofa). 1 bathroom with shower and toilet on the upper floor. 1 toilet on the first floor. Fully furnished and equipped with an open kitchen. Additional features: underfloor heating, walk-in shower, bathtub, en suite bathroom, washing machine, clothes rack, Wi-Fi, 50-inch flat-screen TV, storage space for bicycles, 2–3 bicycles available for free use. Despite its prime location in the center of Surheim, the house is set back from the street and is in a very quiet area. Shopping (Edeka), pharmacy, bank, hair salon, restaurant, playground, soccer field, and bus stop are all within 200 m.
Melanie and Franz designed and furnished the house where you’re currently spending your vacation/time themselves and carried out a great many construction projects on their own.
The house was built in 1937 by Franz’s grandfather, Michael.
He even dug out the basement (the front part of the house) himself using a shovel, pickaxe, and wheelbarrow.
The part where you are staying now used to be a barn for 10 sheep and 2 pigs. The upper floor, or attic, served as the hayloft.
Franz spent most of his childhood living in this house.

My wife, a dear friend from Denmark and I concluded our trip with staying at these beautiful accommodations conveniently located close to Salzburg yet far enough away to be located in a lovely village in Germany. On this 20-day trip, we stayed at some truly amazing places - a wonderful penthouse in Merino with the best views in the city, an incredible villa on the water at Lake Como, a chalet high in the mountain near Cortina and finally this great home in Saaldorf-Surheim. This was by far the far the most impeccable, roomiest and best equipped of all. Not only were the accommodations excellent with highly communicative hosts responding to every inquire timely, but they also provided excellent booklets with great information, including the superb bakery and grocer within a three-minute walk. We also had dinner one evening at an incredible vegetarian restaurant next to the bakery. We all expressed our desire to return to Bavaria to spend more time in the region and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.

We had an amazing stay and visit in Saaldorf-Surheim/Salzburg. A short drive to city center, the property had wonderful amenities and fantastic attention to detail. So clean and modern - thank you for all the hospitality!
