We were welcomed on arrival by our helpful and friendly hosts.
There was ample parking and it was easy to find.
We were upgraded to a large double which was a bonus.
The breakfast was excellent. A good range of fruit, cereal and yoghurt, and a choice of cooked breakfasts. Good quality produce is used and presented well. A choice of bread included sourdough.
The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept well. Lots of extras in the room, freshly baked cookies, good quality toiletries and water in a glass bottle which makes me happy to see.
The internal decoration is stunning. It is in keeping with the proportions of this house that they are lovingly restoring.
It's obvious that this B&B is a passion and they want to get everything just right. They enjoy people's company and go the extra mile to ensure you have a good stay.
We could walk into town in under 20 minutes and there is a local bus that stops nearby.
Ilfracombe is a charming, old school, holiday destination with lots to do and see, even in low season.
It's hard to find anything negative about the property and standard of accommodation and food. They work hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
The only things I'd mention are:
the curb appeal is in need of improvement. That said it's clear that they have been concentrating on the internal decoration as they've had to do a lot of work to make it so lovely. They are absolutely aware that the outside needs some tlc and are planning to spend the time in this improvement over the winter.
It is on a main road, so there is some traffic noise if you have a room at the front and, like me, have the window open. As I'm a townie this did not disturb me at all.

Last min booking as the place we were staying in did not suit us. Welcomed upon arrival, room immaculate and comfy. Great nights sleep. Superbly presented breakfast and tasted just as good.
