Exactly what we needed

The property requires significant improvements in cleanliness, maintenance and overall services

Our stay at the property unfortunately did not meet our expectations. We are a family of 5 adults and 3 young children, and we had specified a set arrival time. Nevertheless, when we arrived, we had to wait approximately one to one and a half hours for the apartment to be ready, as we found the cleaner still inside. In a way, this turned out to be fortunate, as it allowed us to notice which beds had not been fitted with clean duvet covers, so we could avoid using them—something we find completely unacceptable for any accommodation. On the day of departure, we politely asked to leave our luggage for a few hours after check-out, especially considering the delay at check-in. Our request was initially refused without any flexibility, and was only accepted 15 minutes before we left, after repeated insistence. Furthermore, although it was stated that disposable slippers were provided, in reality there were only used and visibly dirty ones. The same applies to the towels: some were in good condition, while the rest were so worn that we chose not to use them. The floor creaked loudly with every step, and from early in the morning (around 07:30), there was significant noise from nearby construction work—hammers, cranes, drills—which greatly affected our rest. The beds were acceptable, but the rest of the furniture was not. For example, an armchair had been covered with a throw to hide the dirt on its armrests; when the cover slipped, the grime was clearly visible. The bathrooms were the only part of the apartment in good condition—clearly renovated and clean. In contrast, the household appliances were old and dirty (for instance, the toaster was rusty and should have been replaced). The overall condition of the building was disappointing. At the entrance to the floor, there were discarded wardrobes and boxes, creating the impression of abandonment or an ongoing move.

Good Location

We like the property, very spaces and have enough bed for 7 of us. Walking distance to the center, Metro and transportation. Restaurants and market is on the street.

10 / 10

Ideal for those who are ready to experience Budapest in all its finery.

The location, the quirkiness and the little touches from the owners. Ideal apartment for friends to stay.

When emptying and taking out the bins on the last day we weren’t sure where they went. More info on that would help future visitors.
