Won't be staying again.
Lovely village, good parking, that's all the good I can think of the stay.
Wasn't really that clean, i found mould in the main bedroom, the shower curtain is screwed to the wall so that's pointless.
there was a huge cobweb in the shower when we arrived.
the 'sharp' cooking knives were blunter then the butter knives.
would reccomend that they re dectorate the entire place as it doesn't look like its really looked after, even more so with the wild garden
We had locked ourselves out by accident, but didn't feel like the owner was a great deal of help, we had to rush around to finish work early enough so we could go into chester to go and get a spare key from an Estate Agents.

Dirty property, untrustworthy owner - would not return.
Good offsite parking, easy to find.
The house was dirty. Although the beds were made when we arrived, the bed linen quite obviously hadn’t been changed from previous guests; there was human hair, animal hair and crumbs in the beds, and greasy head patches on grubby pillows. We had to strip all the beds and put on clean sheets before we could get into bed to sleep on our first night. The floors weren’t clean and the stairs looked like they hadn’t been hoovered in months. There was curdled milk in the fridge so the fridge smelled disgusting and we had to clean it before we could use it. A washing up bowl had been placed over the kitchen plughole, presumably to cover the awful smell coming from it. The bathroom bin was full of other people’s bathroom rubbish, dirty tissues etc. In addition, just one toilet roll was left in the property for the use of 4 adults for 3 days, so we were forced to go shopping when we arrived!
We paid an inflated premium to stay in this property for 2 nights over the Eurovision event. For the price we paid, the very bare minimum I would have expected was clean sheets on the bed. I contacted the owner after the first night who initially apologised and said he would offer a partial refund to compensate for the lack of appropriate cleaning, and I agreed with thanks, thinking that was the end of the matter. However 2.5 months on, several separate promises to deposit money into my account have come to nothing except excuses and inaction, then finally the partial refund became conditional on me not leaving a negative review! This in itself disgusted me that his attitude was not of trying to make amends and compensate us by way of an apology because on this occasion his property was not up to the appropriate standard, but it was simply conditional hush money to keep us quiet about how dirty the place was. (To date, not a penny has been received). All correspondence was by text so obviously I have evidence of this.

Location amazing for bike and walking access into centre of Chester, along canal path.
Would have liked access to mown garden with chairs. Grass uncut, no chairs.

house has a lot of wear and tear, very dirty, no heating, shower held together with cellotape and leaks through the ceiling, kitchen must be 50 years old, punch holes in doors, needs painted
