IOU Hebden Bridge Vegetarian Hostel

Old food in the fridge including a mouldy melon! Our keys were missing when we arrived and someone had left them in the room.

Didn't expect breakfast to be thrown in. An unexpected bonus.

Nothing. It was all fine..

Bright, roomy and airy eating and sitting areas. Clean and comfortable. Excellent value for money. Friendly, helpful staff. Private bathrooms, well equipped communal kitchen with generous basic drinks and food available.

It was very clean. Good position to walk into town if you can cope with hills. The community feel.

It is up a steep hill so walking may be a problem for some as it can be difficult to park in Hebden centre. The communication to give us our room number was very late and not clearly presented in the email. The member of staff I spoke to about this definitely didn’t take my comment about this on board. My bed in Room 3 was very hard. Also, the floors above are very creaky and noisy when people walk on the bare floorboards. The heat pump failed one day so no hot water for a shower one morning.
