My fiancée and I stayed at Ordo for six nights. The rooms are very comfortable, warm, clean, sufficiently spacious and private. It’s the perfect place to relax after a long day exploring Karakol and the surrounds. The location is good, and in walking distance from Karakol’s central business district shops and restaurants. It’s not in the centre which means it’s very quiet at night and feels very safe. The breakfast is superb and also variable (the team cooked us a different breakfast every morning). The price is great value.
Mars and the Ordo team are very hospitable and welcoming, and were incredibly helpful in organising drivers for us and recommending day trips. Mars even picked me up when I was foolishly relying on ordering a Yandex (Russian uber) to return me to Karakol after my hike in a relatively remote area. Mars is a font of knowledge on Kyrgyz history and traditions, and is very generous in sharing this knowledge.
Ordo also has a strong sustainability focus which we didn’t experience elsewhere in Central Asia (with the obvious caveat that the average person in Central Asia lives far more sustainably than we do in the West).
Ordo’s walls are adorned with messages from very satisfied guests from over 80 countries. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough!
Genuinely don’t have a single bad word to say about this place

Wonderful host. Extremely comfortable bed and very quiet. Great shower and hot water. Amazing breakfast - loved the home made cupcakes.
