A spacious cottage, lovely feel about it. Very homely. Lots of cafes, pubs and bakerys for breakfast, dinner and tea.
Great position, near the centre of Matlock and a good base to access the rest of the Peaks.
Parking beside house is tricky. Only room for a small car parked at an angle. Road nearby was fine for parking though.
The road down to Matlock is very steep. You certainly earned a drink when you return.
Or go in the car! It should be mentioned in the advert.
An outside light is required in the garden for the hot tub. We were out in the day so by 5-6pm when we used the hot tub it was getting dark.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Spacious rooms and kitchen.
Needs more seating outside and the umbrella was broken. ( it was very much needed this weekend)
Hot tub could have done with fresh water in . And more Prosecco glasses .

Location perfect for exploring Matlock and the surrounding area . And the hot tub was so welcome after a day's walking or cycling.

Stayed 2 nights, plenty of space
Location was 2 nights, downstairs bathroom shower floods and smells damp and musky with black mold, door get stuck, hence your locked in the bathroom. I did tell tge owner but he didnt bother replying back. Trunk in lounge used as a coffee table is smashed, lighting us bad in lounge. Microwave does not work. Hot tub is a safety hazard as there is no lighting in the dark garden so a waste of money booking place with use of a tub, our friend nearly had a bad accident getting out the tub due to lighting. Black mold in ensuite. Front door lock is falling off
