Location. Very friendly staff. Room decor very nice. Free parking
Service at breakfast was very very slow and quantity of food at breakfast was minimal. Coffee and cooked food arrived cold and the breakfast price was quite high considering what was offered. Manual check in at reception is very slow, I recommend using the online check-in option which is offered.

Lovely peaceful and quiet location surrounded by gardens. Very handy if visiting Quinta de Regaleria which is only 5min fairly flat walk away. Free carpark for guests further down the road from the hotel. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Delightful breakfast can be ordered which is served to your table in the small restaurant including eggs to order, charcuterie, cereal, yoghurt, warm breads/pastries, fresh squeezed juice, fresh fruit platter and hot beverages. Also had a lovely lunch at the tables outside on the cobblestones by the trees. Room 5 was spacious with a roomy bathroom, small sitting area and views of the township below.
Sintra in general is not the easiest to negotiate by car particularly if you miss a turnoff so ensure you follow GPS with care and a smaller vehicle is preferable for narrow lanes. A few minor suggestions for improvement that in no way detracted from our choice to stay: Some milk or creamer in the room to go with the coffee/tea would be nice. The minibar list needs an update as several things were missing? Other useful room amenities would be face cloths and a box of tissues.

The hotel Is nice, our room was comfortable and in good conditions... aside of the shower
We were received by a woman (Ana) yelling at us, not even a hello.
When we got there we entered through the gate with the car to leave our luggage close by because the parking is very far.
The woman came to us yelling that we werent able to enter with the car and we had to move in that moment. Not even asked why we were there Nor asked If we were guests. She treated us like intruders.
After that we asked if the room was going to be available soon and She acted like if we were asking for an unthinkable request, She had the worst attitude ive encountered from hotel personal in my Life.
At First That was our welcome to the hotel.
The rest was fine until 2 days After, when we left the wet used towels on the floor for them to Get changed (normally Is How It Works)
But when we got back and wanted to take a shower the same wet drity towels were hanged again. Also to mention that the trash bins were accumulating since the First day. After reporting that to the reception they changed the towels and emptied the bins.
Another Thing to mention is that the shower was flooding because the shower head Is like a strong water gun. Uncomfortable to shower there.
