The entire place was spotless, the people very helpful and the facilities cover almost every need including privacy curtains, washing machine, cooking and relaxation space outdoors. Even beach towels are supplied. The jacuzzi after being on the beach, is a special bonus.
The bottom bunk is very low to the ground, making it very stable, but a bit cumbersome to get in and out. My mattress felt as though it was a bit angled to one side and lumpy (springs?)
What I did not realize before, is that Albufeira is really a party town. The noise from thumping music from surrounding restaurants and bars, continues until the early morning hours. As the hostel is situated right in the centre of the old historic town, and the entire town vibrates from the bass speakers, you not only hear the music, but feel it vibrating through the floors and walls. Not the hostel's fault, but it is an issue if you are hoping for a good nights' sleep.

The front desk worker named Isabel was the best! She helped us with everything we needed and with her there everyone felt welcome! The rooms were nice and clean.
The bathroom lacked storage space
