Assaulted by villa owner and wife threatened

While there may have been things I liked about the property, they were completely overshadowed by the deeply distressing experience I had with the villa owner/landlord. READ NEGATIVE COMMENTS FROM OTHER GUESTS The villa is NOT airconditioned, only the lounge area has a/c, and not the bedrooms so it is incredibly stuffy and hot. Although a pool is listed and advertised, we were not allowed to use it. The villa is nowhere near any beach or shops, you MUST have a car

I strongly advise against booking this property due to the host's hostile demeanour. The person in charge was intensely controlling, overbearing, and constantly micromanaged our stay. They maintained a standoffish, watchful presence that made us feel incredibly uneasy. Worse, they have a highly volatile temper and become irritated over the smallest things. This aggressive behaviour ultimately escalated into a physical attack on myself, an assualt on my wife, and terrorised my children, which has been reported to booking.com **WE HAVE FILED A FORMAL ASSAULT CHARGE WITH THE CORSICAN POLICE** **PLEASE PRIORITISE YOUR SAFETY AND LOOK ELSEWHERE**
