Location
Beds were extremely hard for westerners

Close to bus stops and train stations. Easy to get where needed due to the options. Also close to Nishiki Markets and Nijo Castle. With a surprise so close with the Zennyo Ryuo Shrine, Hojo Bridge (where you can feed the fish) and Rakuchutenmangu (there is more in this delightful little park).
The steep stairs to upstairs.

The hotel was clean, comfortable and conveniently located. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Nothing major. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

Great location, modern facilities incl. fully equipped kitchen, two toilets. Ideal if you are planning to stay several nights in Kyoto and want time to relax or cook at home
The walls are thin, including the one separating from the street - but not a major issue as traffic is limited at night in this side street.
