This is a fully equipped small house in a very quiet location and safe parking within the lot just outside the house. The hosts are great, very responsive, generous and doing everything possible to resolve any issue that might come up. The two bedrooms and shower-baths allowed for a comfortable shared stay with a good friend. A fully equipped kitchen allows for cooking. Due to the cool and rainy weather for most of our stay, we could enjoy the terrace for only one afternoon, in a warmer season this would have been very nice. And for the cool weather we had, the efficient heating system was a pleasure.
For basic shopping the old town of Igny is a few minutes downhill on foot with baker, butcher, greengrocer, etc. A bit further away there is the zone of the Ferme de Gommonvilliers with various nice shopping options and an excellent market on Thursday and Sunday mornings. Larger supermarkets are a short drive by car away. Versailles and other places worth visiting are also reasonably close and the station in Igny connects to the RER network.
For my height of nearly 2m, the headroom upstairs was in parts a bit tight, e.g., in the shower, but we foresaw that from the photos. As others noted, having the only toilet downstairs means some stair climbing at night or first thing in the morning.
