Great pub with rooms in beautiful rural location. Food was fantastic and room was nicely fitted. We really liked the open kitchen and staff were very nice.

This is a lovely country pub. The staff are all super friendly.
The room we stayed in was a superior double. It had plenty of space and a really comfy bed.
There is no TV in the room nor a radio, but that's only a comment and not a criticism.
The breakfast was excellent and cooked freshly in the open plan kitchen.
10/10 for our stay and we would certainly revisit.
No complaints, but for your info, if you need a local taxi, good luck.

The bed was extremely comfortable, and the shower was exceptionally powerful! We were given a warm welcome. The location is very quiet and picturesque. There are good footpaths from the door.
The evening menu wasn't to our taste - heavy on beef dishes and very little else - no light options, only one potato-based vegetarian dish, and all the sides were roasted in fat or coated with butter. No healthy options. We had planned to eat for both nights of our stay, but went elsewhere for the second night. Breakfast was hit and miss - first morning I had a cold sausage, and we had to chase for some toast. Second morning was better, and we were able to get an alternative to sourdough bread.
The worst thing was the bedroom = dark and with no ventilation. We had a superior room off the car park, with only a patio door so in order to get fresh air we would have needed to have the door open all night - this felt very uncomfortable and vulnerable, and privacy was limited.
