Palazzo Portinari Salviati Residenza D'Epoca

This stay exceeded our expectations. The location is superb--just a couple blocks away from the Duomo, but feels removed from the crowds. With only 14 rooms, you truly feel like you're staying in someone's grand palazzo and virtually only see other guests in the lobby/main dining area. The room was mindblowingly gorgeous--extremely spacious, comfortable, and with beautiful ceiling frescos and epoch furniture. The bathroom alone was almost the size of a small studio apartment in Manhattan, and the double vanity/sink is always a plus. Despite the high ceilings, the room temperature could be easily and appropriately adjusted. The food was excellent (we tried breakfast, lunch, and dinner) in the Salotto Portinari bistrot. The service was top-notch as well, with very friendly and attentive staff.

We could not dine in the Atto di Vito Mollica fine dining restaurant, as our stay coincided with the days it is closed. We will have to come back soon!

You are staying in a part of history. Beautiful rooms. Fantastic location and most friendly and helpful staff. This was one of our honeymoon spots. I could not recommend this hotel enough

Nothing honestly

Excellent location, beautiful decor which was apparently home to some of the Medici family! Lovely staff, great Michelin star restaurant. Absolutely super

Loved everything, perhaps the bread at breakfast can be more fresh but overall an excellent hotel

Breakfast was very nice. A great selection to choose from an alacarte menu. We did miss the European buffet spread that so many hotels offer.

Beyond the hotels control, there was a lot of noise overnight. Not sure where the revealers were coming from but they spent a lot of time yelling in the street outside our room. As late as 5:00 am?
