Katrin was wonderful and a very welcoming receptionist. The room we had was clean and the bed linen crisp and laundered. Breakfast was plentiful - yogurts, fruit, cereal, toast and pastries. Quiet night which is exactly what was needed.
The hotel is sadly a relic of another time. It felt on the edge of closure but it still possessed a faded charm. The dining room was quite something and I'd have loved to have seen it in its prime.
Really disliked the shagpile carpet in our room and the very thin separating walls between bedrooms. It's very dated but must have been terrific once upon a time.

Good communication. Access code for late arrival. Lovely clean sheets. Comfortable bed. Quiet. Good night's sleep. Friendly and helpful lady on duty in the morning.
The bedroom and particularly the bathroom are definitely showing their age. At the price I paid, I didn't expect 5* accommodation but the bathroom could do with a deep clean and the shower drain unblocked.
