Maintenance and cleanliness issues

Unfortunately, our stay was affected by a number of maintenance and cleanliness issues which made the experience disappointing. On our first night, the air conditioning was not cooling properly and a technician had to attend the next day. The filters were subsequently cleaned and were visibly extremely dirty. We also noted that the in-room thermometer consistently showed a temperature of around 28 degrees even later into the night, despite the air conditioning being set and running. In addition, we experienced an ant problem, including larger ants. We also had no hot water for approximately two-thirds of our stay, which significantly impacted our comfort and daily use of the property. This was only acknowledged during the checkout inspection - prior to the return of our €200 deposit. There were also several smaller but concerning issues: two chairs had missing screws, including one with two screws missing from the same leg. One of these chairs collapsed while a member of our party was sitting on it, which was particularly alarming. The BBQ was extremely dirty, and the first-aid kit listed as being available at the property was missing. We also had to spend a significant portion of our holiday dealing with and waiting on resolution of these issues, which significantly impacted our overall experience. At no point did we receive an apology for any of the issues. The property has positives, but unfortunately the number of issues we encountered meant the standard of our stay did not reflect what we expected for the price paid. We would definitely not recommend this property.

An excellent holiday experience in beautiful surroundings which we would be very glad to repeat.

A perfect location.It was quiet and very peaceful yet within a five minute easy walk into the centre of La Cala. The views from the balcony were superb.

There was no parasol and hard to find shade particularly in the morning when the sun was directly on the balcony.We spoke to the host about the situation and apparently an awning has been ordered and should be installed soon.The complex has no swimming pool of its own as yet but does get use of the pool near by.This involves a short walk and although the pool itself is very nice and surrounded by grass and sunshades it does not have sunbeds.
