Great house, subpar management.
The house is really nice. The living area and kitchen are great, and the loft is cozy. The rooms are a bit on the old side but not a big deal. The gas stove in the main room (and in the living area) is a fantastic touch, especially because it is controlled electronically (remote in the room, Nest in the living area). They add the coziness of a fireplace without the mess and the smell. There's a great view from the balcony/living, and access to the beach is great (albeit a bit slippery, as the instructions noted) You get in this fantastic bay, and when it's low tide you can go and explore it and collect shells.
The location itself is great, close to the road but VERY little traffic.
Vacasa. We did not like the management. When we arrived the house was not clean, the bed sheets had not been changed, and there was trash left in the cans around the house. We called management and they kept us literally until 11:30pm telling us "we contacted the local support team". Granted, we arrived late (around 9pm after an 11hr drive), but at the end we were told that there was nothing they can do. A manager told me "book a hotel and we will refund you". Good luck finding a hotel in Netarts at 11:30pm. We ended up sleeping on sleeping bags on top of the beds. The day after someone from the "local support team" arrived with clean sheets. It was a bit like pulling teeth "do you want me to clean the bathrooms?" "Yes we want", "do you want me to change the sheets" "yes we want". I mean, of course we would like you to at least present the house as it was supposed to be. And even after that, nobody cleaned the house completely, we only got Kitchen and Bathrooms.
Unfortunately there was a smell of rotting "something" all throughout our stay, and that attracted the biggest flies I have ever seen in my life, we had no idea where they came from.
Lastly, the management offered to pay us back $360 which pretty much would be part of the first night and the cleaning fee, but eventually I think they refunded us only $180 which I consider an offense, to be honest.
Bottom line: house is really good, Vacasa is not. We won't consider Vacasa again.
