The property was so beautiful, it was like a stepping into your own private oasis! Despite our late check in, Pedro (the owner) was there to greet us and settle us in. He had all the basics there for the kitchen as well as a few little extras (bread and cheese) to get us through the night until we could get to a grocery store the next morning. He even sent us a super comprehensive list of everything we could do in the neighbourhood and beyond, so thoughtful. The villa was spacious enough for 3 people, I would say if you plan on spending a lot of time at the villa then it might be a little tight for more then 2 people as the living room becomes the second bedroom (which was fine with us). Also the bathroom is an ensuite vs accessible from the living room, not a problem for us. All the amenities were beautiful, charming and really added to the aesthetic of the property. Having access to a washer and dryer really was an added bonus. The AC was a game changer , there’s a unit in the bedroom and living room. The private patio was so incredibly perfect.
The unit is quite damp. We didn’t notice it when we checked in, but after a week we noticed the bedding and our clothes held moisture, particularly in the bedroom next to the bathroom. Even with the AC running, we couldn’t shake the dampness. We understand this is quite common in older homes in Portugal, it didn’t hinder our stay but the unit could use a dehumidifier.

We had a very rough day before arrival. Everything that could go wrong with our flight did. We arrived 14 hours past our planned arrival. We were exhausted and frazzled. Upon opening the green gate the chaos of the day melted away. Fairy lights shining. Lush greenery and flowers reching out to greet us.
Upon arrival to our accommodations the excitement continued to grow. I could not have scripted any better. Cheese, grapes, ham fresh bread and a bottle of wine had been set out to welcome us. The Bungalow was decorated to perfection. Not over the top... very cozy and appropriate. The secret garden that waited for us out our dinning room door was the cherry on the top. So relaxing and magical.
Convenience and pure Portugal waited for us around the corner. Very walkable and enjoyable.
As you can tell I am overly satisfied with our stay here. I had no idea what awaited us when I booked the accommodations. I feel like we won the lottery on this one.
Don't hesitate for one second booking Villa Dominguez. A magical experience awaits you. Experience Portugal at it's best.
That we had to leave.

Beautiful outdoor pool… beautiful cool water, extreme heat while here, sunny best way to replenish and off again
Being ground level in old area, the musky smell was overwhelming… air conditioning helped, but all windows and doors were kept open whilst we were there. A warning to patrons with Asthma or lung conditions. We absolutely love the layout.
