It was a bit disappointing.

The property was conveniently located and had beautiful views. It also included all the amenities we were looking for as we celebrated our wedding anniversary.

We ended up having to leave a full day early due to the smell of mold. I realize now that I didn't take photos and I should have. There were several things combined together that prompted us to leave, especially how it bothered my spouse's breathing. There was an air purifier that ran the entire time but everything was damp. I realize that the hot tub produced moisture but all the more reason to run a dehumidifier. None of the windows or doors had screens, so alternative ventilation was not an option. -The area rug needs to be cleaned, replaced or eliminated all together, it smelled like wet dog. -When looking for a place to plug in our phone charger, we found used tissues behind the bed as well as a cloth. -There was visible mold on the shower stall ceiling and the shower curtain. - A coffee mug put away in the coffee area that was dirty. -And a situation with Japanese beetles. They were swarming outside, I get that is nature, but due to the location of the door, several got inside just from entering and exiting the room. And the bed is very near to the door. So...I had beetles crawling on my bed night two, and even after we left to drive home, one was crawling in my shirt. Japanese Beetles can bite, they are not lady bugs. I think the patio area should be sprayed. -And last but not least...the well water, has a sulphuric smell. That's not really a big deal, the host did provide ice and drinking water. However, be prepared To smell a bit after using the hot-tub or shower. We are home now and anything we had with us still has a lingering basement smell. The host is nice and I hate to leave a negative review but I feel that before you stay you should know. I think with a few changes, most importantly addressing ventilation and a good thorough cleaning, it would be back on track.

The shower in the unit is a little small!
