About this house rental
Quiet, peaceful…Montana at its best!
Our place is close to Yellowstone Park, right off Highway 89, only 11 miles from the North Entrance at Gardiner MT. The unique history of our home provides a perfect complement to the unique and beautiful setting.
The home is recently renovated
on a historic ranch property owned by the Rigler family since 1908.
We are surrounded by public land providing great hiking opportunities. Although not on the river, a short trek across the road gives you private access for fishing on Yellowstone River frontage which is part of the ranch.
After a busy day in Yellowstone, relax on the front porch and watch the bison in our meadow a short distance from our vacation rental home.
The great room is an open space with living, dining, kitchen combination. The kitchen has a countertop bar and provides all the amenities to create dine in meals for your family. Large windows line the great room space providing incredible 360 degree views. There is a deck off the front and back of the home; the back deck has a Blackstone grill…you can cook breakfast outside as well as dinner…with a small table and chairs available for enjoying your meals outdoors. The front porch has chairs to relax and enjoy the mountain views in the evening.
The living room space has sofa, comfy chairs, and a Smart TV. There is also a game table for puzzles, cards or board games…all available in the home.
The dining room has a large log table with chairs. There is a fireplace in the open space with a gas insert. Safety is our priority with fire and CO 2 monitors throughout the home.
Bedroom one has a king bed and en-suite bathroom with walk in shower. Toiletries are provided for your convenience.
Bedroom two also has a king sized bed with a fiberfill duvet…which is sanitized after each guest.
Bathroom two is between bedroom two and three; it has a tub/shower combination. Terry bathrobes for guests are available in the closets in each bedroom.
Bedroom three has two twin beds. As this is a recently renovated property, all beds and bedding are new.
Finally, the 1800 square foot space provides a laundry room with new Maytag washer and dryer.
This is a unique and special home located on a spacious and unique property. Our first
year of operation for this home will begin May, 2022; we appreciate your consideration to join us to complete your memorable Yellowstone vacation!

Perfect home away from home for our family of 5! The location was great - easy, short drive to the north entrance of YSP! Elk and pronghorn were everywhere in Gardiner…and the horses and bison on the property were such a bonus! The beds were SO comfortable. We were grateful for a kitchen that had everything we needed to cook our own meals, and Gardiner had great places for meals out (and huckleberry ice cream!)

Wonderful cabin close to Gardiner. Clean, updated, with very comfortable beds and linens! A/C (yes, this is important in MT in the summer), gorgeous kitchen (with high quality cook wear) and living/dining area, drinking water filtration system. High quality appliances throughout (3 different coffee makers to suit everyone's preference). It is obvious host has spared no expense on this rental and is very particular about providing a top notch experience. From the info on their family history, to the wall decor, every detail has been thought of. Great communication, check-in instructions, 5-stars across the board. Highly, highly recommend. If we're ever in the area we will definitely be back. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us!

We’re a group of five from Delaware and Maryland visiting Yellowstone, and we couldn't have picked a better place to start our vacation.
From the moment we arrived from Bozeman Airport, the stunning mountain views and the nearby Yellowstone River took our breath away. Walking into the Barnhouse felt like coming home—warm, welcoming, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The kitchen had everything we needed, including premium cookware that showed the owners truly care about giving their guests the best experience. The rooms were comfortable, and every detail made our stay enjoyable.
One of our favorite parts of the stay was watching the bison and horses on the ranch—it made the experience feel uniquely Montana.
Having a great grocery store nearby was also a big plus, making it easy to pick up anything we needed.
Susan made everything even better by providing all the information for a seamless check-in and stopping by to personally welcome us.
Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer. Thank you for giving us the perfect beginning to an unforgettable Yellowstone adventure. We hope to be back!

Excellent location for Yellowstone visits, we recommend the Barnhouse for its’ location and exceptionally well-equipped facilities, together with the thoughtful and helpful owner, Susan who made us very welcome.
