Directly across from the vacation rental is the Kunsthaus Meyenburg, which presents works of art of both regional and national significance in constantly changing exhibitions. In 2017, works by Picasso, Feininger, Chagall, Miró, Warhol, and many other artists will once again be on display.
The villa—one of the city’s most magnificent Art Nouveau buildings—and the adjacent historic public park regularly host cultural events, concerts, and weddings. In the Kunsthaus’s charming park, visitors can now also marvel at a mammoth from the Ice Age. Incidentally, the Kunsthaus’s observation tower offers the best view of the entire city of Nordhausen and its surroundings.
Whether you’re a couple planning to hold your wedding ceremony at the Kunsthaus Meyenburg or are invited as wedding guests, the apartment is the ideal place to relax and get ready for the occasion.
Nordhausen, as the gateway to the Harz Mountains and also close to the Kyffhäuser Mountains, the Hainleite, and the Eichsfeld, is the perfect base for visiting numerous sights and a wide variety of excursion destinations.
