Our “Kolonial” apartment was once again awarded 5 stars by the German Tourism Association (DTV) in December 2022.

The “Kolonial” apartment is located on the first floor (first occupied: early 2016) and has been luxuriously renovated and furnished with great attention to detail.

The entire interior is harmoniously coordinated, creating a special, cozy atmosphere….

The “Kolonial” apartment features
1 bedroom with solid colonial-style furniture in warm tones,
1 living room with a genuine leather couch, a 50-inch LED TV, ambient lighting, and double patio doors leading to a large private terrace with 2 lounge chairs and a grill area
1 bathroom with a walk-in shower (150x90 cm), large sink, and solid colonial-style furniture, all color-coordinated
1 high-quality new built-in kitchen with generous amenities, including a dishwasher and a beautiful dining set made of solid colonial-style furniture.

The colonial-style apartment is approximately 67 square meters in size and suitable for 2–3 people (an additional guest bed can be set up in the bedroom).

(If needed, we can provide you with a travel crib and a high chair free of charge.)

In both apartments, we welcome you upon your arrival with the following complimentary amenities:
2 bottles of beer as a welcome gift, dish soap and dishwasher tablets, spices (basic selection), toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, dish towels, bed linens, hand and bath towels, hair dryer

All rooms in both vacation apartments are equipped with high-quality tile flooring and underfloor heating. The temperature can be adjusted for each room to suit your personal needs.

In our courtyard area, right next to our garages, there is a dedicated parking space for each apartment.

The spacious, park-like garden (1,400 m²) is available for our guests to enjoy. In addition to a beautiful sunbathing area and plenty of seating throughout the garden, there is also a barbecue area and a campfire site (wood, fire starters, and charcoal are provided).

The wilderness garden is also a paradise for children:
A soccer field, a knight’s castle, a swing, a slide, and a sandbox with plenty of toys.

Our house is located right next to the Bavarian Forest National Park (about 300 m to the wildlife enclosure), on the outskirts of Ludwigsthal near Zwiesel, 11 km from the Großer Arber (Ski World Cup course). Excellent transportation connections by train and bus. A paradise for hikers, cyclists, and skiers! Storage space for skis and ski boots, strollers, etc.

Wilderness Retreat by the National Park: Our goal is for you to feel right at home with us! The bike path from the Czech Republic to Regen runs right past our house. Just about 250 m from our house is a “real” grass soccer field that’s available for use. This field is located right on the Regen River, which has beautiful natural swimming spots.

Food and Drink: In our village (approx. 350 residents), there are a total of 3 restaurants: One is located at the “Haus zur Wildnis” (about a 15-minute walk) and is open only during the day. A second restaurant is the “Gasthaus Ludwigsthal” (about 300 meters away). The other restaurant is right across from our house (about 30 meters; 'Gasthaus zum Wurzlsepp'). In the village of Schleicher (1 km away), there’s an excellent restaurant serving local specialties (trout, pork knuckle, snack platters, etc.). In addition, there are at least 5 pizzerias in Zwiesel (5 km), even more Bavarian restaurants, as well as a Greek restaurant and a Chinese restaurant.

You’ll find shopping options in Zwiesel (5 km), where all the major discount stores and supermarkets are located. However, we’re happy to offer you a free bread roll delivery service (daily except Sundays and holidays).
