The Boc Hostels - City

The hostel's location is excellent—situated on a quiet street within walking distance of Plaza de España and the bus/train station, the Old Town, and the Cathedral.. It is about 1 km from the seafront. The "Gabriel Alomar - Àrea d'intercanvi Sindicat" bus stop—served by the A1 airport bus as well as other bus lines—is located 550 meters from the hostel. There are many shops and places to eat nearby; a large Mercadona supermarket is 250 meters away. The beds are comfortable and feature curtains, which provide a sense of privacy. It is clean everywhere. The personal lockers are large and very convenient. The room includes a private bathroom and toilet, and there are also shared toilets and bathrooms on the floor, separated for men and women. There is air conditioning throughout the property. Laundry and dryer facilities are available (for an additional fee, as are towels). The shared kitchen is well-equipped. There are spacious common areas with sofas and small tables. There is a coffee machine at the reception; I didn't use it, so I'm not sure if it's free. There are elevators, and the rooftop features a small pool and beach-style amenities (available seasonally). All doors—including the main entrance, room doors, and lockers are accessed with a key card. The staff is very friendly, polite, and helpful. The Wi-Fi is excellent.

Got charged 9 euros extra no idea for what. And shitty were the other guests, honestly for the love of god keep yourself to travellers etiquette, don’t be a shitty person when you are sharing a dormitory. It’s common sense; -don’t yell and shout waking up all others when you come back drunk at 3 am, if you snore like a tractor on asteroids please use a 2 euro noseclip from Amazon when you share the room with 16 others so they can sleep too, don’t leave your alarm ringing at 6 am while taking a shower. Honestly kids it’s not that difficult being a decent person when you share sleeping quarters.

Great location as its walking distance to the city center, although we were surprised by the number of prostitutes in the area late in the evening, felt a bit unsafe. We booked the private room and it was huge and decorated nicely.

The room could have been much cleaner. Also we selected 2 separate beds when booking and received 1 single double bed, and they just told us they couldnt do anything about it and didnt care. Downstairs area smelt like weed.
