From the moment we arrived at Dwarsvlei Guest Farm, we were welcomed and treated like family. Mark and Jenee are absolute angels who went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, relaxing, and enjoyable.
Their knowledge of the local history, together with all the fascinating stories and a bit of entertaining gossip from the past, made our stay even more special. They kept us entertained throughout and made us feel right at home.
The food was outstanding, especially the chicken pie, which was honestly the best! Everything, from the warm hospitality to the delicious meals and wonderful atmosphere, made our visit truly memorable.
Thank you, Mark and Jenee, for making us feel like part of the family. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Dwarsvlei Guest Farm to anyone looking for a welcoming, unique, and memorable experience. We would love to visit again!

Loved the setting, the old house, comfy beds with electric blankets. Coffee & Tea in the room. Friendly and personable hosts. Pet friendly and great location for an overnight on a long road from Gauteng to the coast.
The online price for 2 in the twin room was quoted R968 online. I first booked for just me (R572) but then my partner flew up to JHB to drive back down with me after I attended my mom's funeral (he was with his very sick mom before), so I needed to add him on for the same twin room (they asked R650 extra). We ended up paying a whopping R1222 for the night (twin beds only, no breakfast, sharing bathroom with other guests), which left a bad taste. They have a strict no-refund policy, so my only option was to add on my partner. I should have added him on via Booking.com instead of trying to save the host commission by paying the extra directly. I have never experienced such price discrepancy between 1 and 2 persons in the same room before. It felt like the business model was maximum income from one stay only, rather than building repeat business. The shared bathroom (i.e. with other guests) was not a deal breaker for us, but other guests using it during the night affected our sleep - so in hindsight perhaps better to have a room away from the shared bathroom.
