Misleading listing, unhelpful host, and a frustrating stay that did not match what was advertised.
The host was completely unwilling to listen or find any middle ground when issues arose. No empathy, no effort to resolve problems. Just resistance at every turn. This alone ruined the entire stay.
Beyond that: the house was not clean on arrival, towels were insufficient, and the AC units leaked water even at normal temperatures. Basic comfort was simply not there, and the property is overpriced given what is actually provided.
Most importantly, the listing says "the entire place is yours" and "4 bedrooms" but that is misleading. In practice, not all rooms are made available; the rest of the rooms were locked. They never resolved despite multiple conversations with the host, who was unwilling to find any middle ground or show basic understanding of the situation. Future guests should be aware of this before booking.
Parking is also a real issue: spaces near the property are very limited, the streets are extremely narrow, and maneuvering a normal-sized car is genuinely difficult and at times dangerous. A very small vehicle is essentially required.
As for the reviews on this listing, the majority appear to be from a small number of Spanish reviewers with very short, uninformative comments. They read more like personal endorsements than genuine guest experiences. Don't let them mislead you, as we unfortunately fell prey to that.
Biar itself has very little to offer beyond one night of sightseeing. For the same price, you'll find significantly better options in Alicante or nearby towns — cleaner, better-serviced, and far better value.
