It was absolutely fantastic. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Excellent value for money and we loved everything about our stay. Would absolutely return.
It was perfect, nothing not to like!

We've stayed here before and so knew what to expect. It's lovely old traditional pub that still pulls in the punters despite there being a Wetherspoons a hundred yards up the road. Real coal fires in the bars downstairs, coppers glistening and friendly and knowledgeable bar staff and cleaners. Unfortunately, our stay coincided with a storm and so we couldn't really get out and explore the surrounding area but we'll save that for next time. The room was exceptional and the fluffy white towels felt brand new. Great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Because there is no food served at the pub, staff said that we could order in a takeaway and eat it in the bar or even up in our room - how's that for being accommodating.
Everything was OK.
