It’s a good place for those seeking for comfort

Location was good. Staff were polite.

Internet didn’t work and there was no tv remote. When queried about the internet, I was mostly talking to a chat bot which was less than helpful. The recommendations of trying to use the other apartment wifi did not help and the issue was never resolved. Having internet access is essential to anywhere people stay nowadays. The lack of it was very inconvenient.

TV way too far from the bed. Poor bathroom facilities, AC wasn't working. Had to contact administration too often for access & checkout.

Incredibly noisy - avoid.

Modern apartment with a good view from 22nd floor. The apartment was in a convenient location, a few minutes walk to Moema metro station with bars, restaurants and cafes nearby. Felt like a safe neighbourhood to be in. Unfortunately, the noise in the apartment let all of these positives down and I would not recommend this apartment or Charlie’s impersonal customer service.

More minor things that could be overlooked: No cleaning on offer even though we stayed 4 nights - most accommodation providers will provide cleaning after 3 nights. With an open bin in the toilet in a county where you can’t flush toilet paper down the toilet this isn’t great - company should review policy. Lack of mattress protector and pillow protectors, sheets a little grubby with some holes. A large and great wardrobe let down by the fact there wasn’t one hanger to hang anything in the wardrobe. Laundry would be very hard to work for a non-Portuguese speaker - instructions in the apartment in English would be helpful for those who don’t speak Portuguese. Some bathroom fixtures and fittings loose. Other reviewers mention a coffee machine, we didn’t have one in our apartment. By far the worst things that made for a terrible stay were the noise and poor customer service: A/C condenser unit, normally mounted to wall outside or on a balcony, was on the floor in our apartment behind a flimsy cupboard and was like a tumble dryer/hurricane going off all night, blowing hot air back into the room. The noise from it was the worst I have ever experienced and I had broken sleep every night of my stay. The glazed balcony area which forms part of the room had windows that were single-glazed and not sealed properly, therefore traffic and street noise was horrendous even 22 floors up, though this was mainly drowned out by the a/c noise. There were no blackout blinds which added to the inability to sleep. I raised the issues above with Charlie and asked to be moved to another apartment - they were very slow to make any response (7 hours to respond) and needless to say they didn’t deal with my request. Convinced I was getting a response from a bot. I would avoid and if you can’t, keep it to a short stay and be sure to bring earplugs and an eye mask!

No breakfast included. Good breakfast restaurants are located nearby.

I would have liked to have an entry code to the building reception. Gaining access to the building required contacting security each time. Users should be aware that the property is in the flight path of the local airport.
