Nice location, but problems with cleanliness

The apartment itself is quite nice and in good location in the city centre.

The air-conditioning had problems in the hot weather and it was sometimes leaking water. One room is not air conditioned. The apartment was not clean, there were numerous dirty beddings and towels in the closets. Some of them were wet and were beginning to smell. The beds didn't have blankets with sheets. When I contacted the host, they promised that someone would come and take the dirty towels away, but then they stopped communicating and no one ever came. The appartment asks for a security deposit of 800 EUR. During the stay there were several efforts to withdraw it from my card even though it has been already paid. One evening we found a dead mouse, which in an appartment under the roof can happen, but it is still not pleasant.

Overall the apartment was reasonable with a good location

The location was quite convenient with train, shops and cafes nearby. A number of sights were within a reasonable walking distance. The apartment had most items available to make it liveable, such as cooking and laundry facilities. When we asked about removal of rubbish at the end of our stay the agent said they would do it which was great as taking it downstairs would have been difficult.

The apartment is on the top floor of the building, about 6 floors, with no elevator, so it was a fair bit or work getting luggage up the stairs to the room and then having to traverse it each day. We were there during a heat wave and only two out of the three bedrooms had air conditioning which in any event were unable to cope and were not able to keep the rooms cool. This was made worse by being the top floor with no insulation between us and the roof. We found that the shower drain wasn't able to cope with the amount of water so would overflow. We later found that there was a plunger in the bathroom which when used on the shower drain cleared it so it worked ok. The air conditioning appeared to not have any run off hose leading to water accumulating on the floor around the air conditioning units, which we had to use towels to soak up. The refrigerator was only small with no freezer, like a bar fridge. The kettle was broken and the agent when we let them know offered to replace it. On the last night our key did not unlock the door. Contacting the leasing agent was difficult and we found that there was no 24hr access to them. We ended up communicating with them mainly by email and it took over 5hrs (11.30pm) before someone was able to let us in, which was uncomfortable in the heat and really difficult with children at that time of night as we had to sit outside the building on the footpath. Although there was a rear door to the apartment it didn't appear that the agent had that key, and we had only been given one.

Neglected and dirty.

The location is great, but the apartment wasn’t at all like in the pictures. It was completely neglected. The bedside tables were broken, the door handles were broken, the floor and walls were dirty and almost each door had a hole in it. No toilet paper… It was so bad that Booking fined the owners…

Le quartier sympathique et le charme de l’emplacement de l’appartement.

Les personnes ont trouvé que ce n’était pas très propre à leur arrivée. Il manquait par exemple des torchons.

Bien placé près de la Bastille et de la gare de Lyon.

J'ai du verser une caution de 800 €, je n'ai pas du tout déterioré l'appartement et la caution n'est toujours pas annulée. Une caution de 800 € a été demandée le 7 juillet, annulée 3 jours après, mais une autre caution de 800 € au 13 juillet qui a été annulée queiques jours après, encore une autre caution de 800 € demandée le 16 juillet et encore une autre demandée le 18 juillet qui n'est tjs pas annulée à ce jour au 23 juillet 2023. C'est vraiment n'importe quoi !!!. Jamais je ne choisirai un logement avec une caution...C'était la première fois mais bien la dernière fois...
