We had an exceptional four-day stay at Monumental Plaza! The apartment felt like a home away from home—spotlessly clean, wonderfully maintained, and with a lovely sea view. Separate air conditioning units in the bedroom and living area kept everything comfortable, and the kitchen was fully equipped for cooking. Check-in was smooth, and the receptionist was welcoming and very helpful. We would happily recommend it!
As the property has “hotel” in its name, we expected some housekeeping during our four-day stay. None was provided, and staff explained that it wasn’t included for a stay of this length. One mid-stay clean or refresh after two days would have been appreciated. Providing basic salt and pepper in the kitchen would also be a useful touch for short stays. These were minor points rather than dealbreakers.

The apartment was bright and new, with a comfortable bed and two balconies, which we appreciated. The location is convenient, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby.
The most unpleasant part was the check-out process: a staff member came into the room and started inspecting everything in detail — checking if the appliances worked, counting every piece of cutlery, dishes, hangers, towels, etc. It felt like an inspection, not a check-out. Very unwelcoming and uncomfortable.
Room cleaning was done only once during a 7-night stay, and there were no basic cleaning tools like a broom or mop, so we had no way to clean up ourselves. Guests are also expected to take out their own trash, which is unacceptable for a hotel.
Frying pan was very old and scratched. It definitely needs to be replaced.
They also require a €70 cash deposit at check-in.
Parking in the garage costs €5 per day, and the garage is extremely narrow — very difficult to use if you have a larger car.
They also require guests to provide an exact arrival time, as there is no staff permanently on-site for check-in. This can be quite inconvenient and adds extra stress for travelers.
