A beautiful location on a beautiful cobbled street with adequate parking , this is permit only between 8-8 but over night you’re fine to park there. The pub was super cosy and well stocked with drinks with a good variety. The accommodation was more than adequate for an over night stay. It was myself , husband and our 12 year old daughter. The beds had clean bedding, tea, coffee and breakfast snacks. Plenty of towels and body wash. We stayed here to get the shuttle to Calais and this was 10 minutes from the pub. You’re able to leave early and post the keys in an internal box and exit by the back door. Trish and her staff couldn’t do enough for us. We arrived too late for food. But Trish called a take away for us and provided plates and cutlery and allowed us to eat in the pub rather than our room. They clearly have regulars which is always what I look for because if people keep coming back you know you’re in a good place.

The only downside and this isn’t really a criticism the bathroom was very snug and the shower temp was a little temperamental. But for an en suite bathroom it really wasn’t bad. It was clean and suited our needs for the night just fine.

The location was excellent, right on the shore front and close to tourist attractions. The room was nice and also very clean.

The pub was open until 10.30pm. on one of the nights it was 11pm and it was very noisy. we had to wait for the noise to die down before attempting to sleep. We new prior that parking was going to be challenging but that's an understatement. We were constantly moving the car and dare not go out in the car because we new we would not be able to park. But if you arrive by train and get a taxi to the hotel that would probably be a better option.
