Don't do it!!
Nothing. After what they did to us we will never book with vacasa again. Never on their website or booking did it say anything about hurricane damage. After paying thousands to rent this house we showed up to a house that was hit by the hurricane along with beer bottles and cigarettes. The whole entire property was trashed and tore apart. The back door was hanging off the hinges and wouldn't even shut and banged against the house all night. (Not to mention how critters such as the alligator out back could come straight into our pool area). We didn't jave access to our garage which they gave us a code that didn't work. The list goes on and on. After 9 days we finally got somewhat of a refund that was really just a slap in the face. Not to mention the local manager Steven alpendorfer is a horrible person and doesn't care how he treats people and should 100% lose his job. Long story short make sure the house your renting doesn't have hurricane damage because they won't bother with putting that on their site and then blaming it on you. And booking was no help either because even tho we booked on their site apparently vacasa is the one who charged the money so they wouldn't do anything to help. So needless to say they don't care if they ruin people's dream vacation as long as they make a dollar! (Booking and vacasa)
