I was injured by a shattered shower door and then held responsible for the damage. Do not recommend.

Typing here because of the character limit: The overall process from the booking to the entering the apartment was long and tedious. Firstly by the number of messages they sent, and then by their rules on electric consumption, without telling you where you can observe how much you spent, plus the key was also a hassle to find and I had to call them while in roaming to get the detailed info. But the very first red flag was having to sign a separate agreement and leave the 250€ deposit, which was processed on a very suspicious form - luckily I could have used a disposable card for this process because it seemed like the form will just store my payment data and it will be processed on their end. The form does not give you a confirmation of the data sent, and after filled it up again four times, I was contacted and asked to preauthorize the payment in my bank because the transaction was denied. I denied that request and asked if we can leave the needed deposit in cash once we arrive, but that was not an option. Only by stating that I do not have another card, I was offered a secure link where I could have made my payment via Apple Pay.

Once all of that trouble was done, after we found the key and entered the apartment, I hoped all of the troubles are behind us and we can start to enjoy the vacation. But on the second day of our stay, after I showered and opened the glass door of the shower - they shattered to thousands of pieces, causing cuts to my arms, legs and face. I informed the property straight away and they agreed to send the cleaner and the manager. The cleaner arrived later in the day, clearly uninformed that we will be inside because the poor girl was confused once she entered the apartment. I asked if the manager is coming as well, she said he will be there shortly. The manager came when the glass was almost completely cleaned, which went to prove that he did not come to inspect the damage, but to find someone to blame. In his own words, "people come and go all the time, there was probably a crack from precious guests", where it was clear that at the moment he did not think it was done on purpose or was our fault. Nonetheless, we were informed a day later that our deposit will be used to pay the glass. We chose to focus on our vacation because we lost enough time on them already and I postponed answering to their messages until the end of our stay. I am now contacting Booking support and seeking legal support on Malta so we can sort this out - but I will never again stay in Buena Vista's accommodations, and note that anything already damaged can easily rack up on your deposit if you choose to stay here.

Comfy place in a good location

On arrival there were cockroaches in multiple rooms which was disgusting. Had maintenance come and spray the place twice during our 5 wk stay. So frustrating however they did respond quickly to our request. Did find dead cockroaches in the days after spraying which soured our experience of an otherwise nice place.
