Amazing apartment with beautiful view.

Apartment is amazing with beautiful view on the beach and ocean. Big terrace with table and 6 chairs and 4 sunbeds. Few steps and you are on the beach.

Horrendous at this apartment! Gran Canaria is beautiful but the customer service and experience that I and my family had

The view from the property was perfect, overlooking the sea. There’s sufficient kitchen equipment for all self catering needs. It’s spacious and the bedrooms are equipped with sliding wardrobes and comfortable beds. The apartment is central for shops, cafes and restaurants. San Augustin is quiet but a short bus or taxi ride will take you to Maspalomas, the dunes, Puerto Rico and Puerto de Morgan, which is a beautiful town.

For the 4 days (28th, 29th, 30th April and 5th May) of our trip there was no running water from 7am-2pm therefore no facilities to be able to wash, cook, shower, make drinks or use the toilet. We had to go to a local restaurant to buy a hot drink so we could use the toilet. We were told of maintenance work whilst we were on the flight to the airport and didn’t receive the message until around 7pm. It had been sent at 3.19pm whilst we were in the air!! They offered a different apt but it was in a different location, not where we’d chosen, which we chose due to family staying in the area. I have a medical condition that means I often need the toilet throughout the day. We chose to go to the alternative apt and rang the number provided plus the emergency number without any response! We were left stranded at the airport and decided to go to the original apt without water, as we thought they would have provided bottles of water. There was no water and due to the time we arrived the local SPAR was closed!! We were met by the check in guy Zeus, who then requested we pay 500 euros deposit along with remainder of the fee for the apt. We refused due to the no water!! After a long night and again the next day refusing to pay until a discount was provided, Sara, one of the staff at Villa Gran Canaria, that manages the property, along with 300 others across Gran Canaria, threatened me with the police!!!! This was meant to be our family holiday, can you imagine!!! We eventually relented and paid what was owed, including the deposit. To say the whole situation was a Holiday from Hell is an understatement. The canopy on the veranda did not work either, Rene another staff member took a photo of the battery needed to fix the remote, no one came to replace it. The shower cubicle is outdated and the shower tray is cracked and peeling, it could do with being replaced. The outdoor veranda hadn’t been swept or cleaned. I complained to booking.com and they were useless too!
