Property Needs Significant Maintenance and Better Management
Pool had good visibility from inside. Perfect location for our family.
I don’t usually write reviews, but the condition of the property and our experience with management were significant enough that I would have appreciated a warning before booking.
The property is poorly maintained, and there were problems throughout our stay:
* The kitchen was dirty, including the dishes and kitchenware, which we had to wash before using. The dishwasher was also not working, so everything had to be washed by hand.
* The dryer was broken. It took five days for someone to come out, and after it was supposedly repaired, it still did not properly dry clothes. We were told by the appliance repairman that the dryer vent had a bird’s nest in it.
* The garage was not functioning. It took 11 days for someone to come out to address the issue. We specifically chose this property because a garage was advertised, and parking outside was extremely hot during our stay.
* There was a significant amount of mold behind the washing machine, along with dripping water from a leak. A plumber was sent out, but the leak continued. The plumber cut out part of the drywall and then put the same moldy drywall back into the wall.
* The downstairs bedroom had a constant humming noise coming from the closet where the Wi-Fi equipment was located.
* The downstairs bedroom ceiling fan/light fixture was damaged, with exposed wires visible. The only usable light in the room was a lamp on the nightstand.
*We had to replace the batteries in the thermostats and we wouldn’t have had air conditioning if we hadn’t noticed.
* The bedrooms had unpleasant odors.
* The downstairs bathroom had a strong urine smell.
* Communication with management was poor, and several maintenance issues took days or more than a week to address.
Overall, we encountered far too many maintenance, cleanliness, and communication issues during a stay of this length.
