We have just returned home today from our second stay at this wonderful holiday cottage, and it was the perfect family getaway. Having previously visited with friends, my husband and I knew it would make an ideal base for a trip with our two young teenagers and our dogs—and it certainly didn't disappoint.
The photos online truly do not do this property justice. Everything throughout the house is finished to an incredibly high standard, from the premium bedding and plush towels to the quality soaps and fixtures. The house is naturally very warm, but the wood-burning stove in the living room—complete with supplied firewood—was perfect for a cosy evening in after a day of exploring.
As someone who stays in quite a few holiday cottages, I was blown away by the kitchen. It is arguably the best-equipped kitchen I have ever come across, with a fantastic range of pots, pans, and utensils.
The location is absolutely ideal. It is just a short drive into Inverness, and arranging taxis is incredibly easy. It is also a fantastic base for exploring further afield; we took a day trip to Glen Affric and were treated to absolutely stunning scenery. Even closer to home, the Jacobite cruises are right on the doorstep, which was a lovely trip to do with the kids. We also had a delicious breakfast at An Talla on our final morning. It is fantastic that the cottage, restaurant, and cruises are all run by the same company, as the high quality is consistent across everything they do. We cannot recommend this place highly enough!

The property was easy to find, clean, warm and welcoming. We had everything we needed for our short stay. We were in Inverness for a funeral and it was an easy drive to the town centre and the cemetery.
It also has a car charger which we needed. It was peaceful and cosy to come back to after a stressful day. There was tea and coffee and some shortbread on arrival-

Really lovely property and in a brilliant location for us staying for the marathon weekend. Everything was spotless and there was everything you could need in the property. Lovely canal walks right on your doorstep and just a short drive from Inverness centre or Loch Ness for some beautiful scenery. Would love to go back!
