Large comfy room with breakfast area and lots of food provided
Our key opened both the front door and our room
We wondered if this meant all the rooms had the same lock we asked the person in one of the other rooms and it turned out our key opened his room and his key opened another room we told a member of staff who insisted that this was not true
the lack of security spoiled our stay to some extent

Great location easy get into town and get Edinburgh

This was a well planned, self serve B & B style accommodation. The rooms were very tastefully and thoughtfully furnished as was the common area. Continental breakfast food and snack items and kitchen items were provided. A great alternative if you plan on visiting Edinburgh and surrounding areas. The bus stops frequently outside The Ship Inn and takes 30-40 minutes to get to the centre of city.
It would have been helpful to have been provided check in details ahead of time.

Newly decorated room lovely. Shared kitchen had lots of provisions.
We were right above the pub which played extremely loud until after midnight so it was impossible to sleep until the music stopped and the patrons left the pub around 12.30am! Also would suggest a microwave for the kitchen.
