We opted for the elephant wake up- it was the most amazing thing you can do. Not much to be done on site if there is heavy rain as most activities are water based.
We had some issue concerning the restaurant closing tok early as we were the only clients there. But the food was tasty. As the restaurant closed early, we had to eat in the room but we were charged 10% of the bill

You can see elephants all around the resort.

Stayed in room one closest for breakfast and a great view over the river. The bamboo rafting was great and good value for money
Yes there are elephants, we never saw any chains or mistreatment but we never engaged in any of the elephants activities this hotel offers. However the elephants do seem to be kept overnight in a small pen and it was very cold at night.
