Accommodation was great, modern clean and tidy We had an outside hot tub which was exceptional and the property is beautiful and well maintained.
We opted to pay for breakfast at the property because we were unsure whether we would have breakfast early or eat somewhere else later. On Booking.com, breakfast was advertised at R195 per person; however, it did not specify exactly what this price included.
When we arrived at the restaurant, the waiter asked whether we would be paying for our breakfast or whether it was included in our room rate. We explained that it was not included, and the waiter made a note of this.
We were not given a menu or informed of the prices before ordering. Naturally, we assumed that the breakfast would cost R195 per person, as advertised on Booking.com.
The waiter then asked whether we would like coffee. We had already had coffee in our room and had not intended to order more, but we assumed that coffee was included in the advertised breakfast price, so we agreed.
The restaurant had a small table with fruit, including bananas, apples, strawberries and melons, as well as some cheese under a glass cover, a bowl of strawberry yoghurt and a selection of cereals. We helped ourselves to a small bowl of cereal, while my wife had some fruit.
The waiter subsequently asked what we would like for breakfast, and we ordered a traditional English breakfast, which was prepared in the kitchen and served at our table.
When we finished eating and received the bill, I was absolutely astonished to discover that the advertised price of R195 per person had increased to R365 per person, bringing the total bill to R730. This was an exorbitant amount to pay for a breakfast that, in our opinion, was certainly not worth the price.
My frustration stems not only from the cost but, more importantly, from the complete lack of transparency regarding the pricing. At no point were we informed that the actual cost would be R365 per person. We were not told that the fruit and cereal table, which the waiter referred to as a buffet, was charged separately, or that the coffee was an additional expense.

Lovely big room and bathroom. Very nice outlook onto a big garden with pools and outdoor seating. Centrally situated and close to a nice restaurant called Quentins where we attended a wedding. Safe parking.
The breakfast was very meagre but other than that nothing to complain about.

The property is beautiful and well located.
We booked a room with a fireplace and when we got there the fireplace was not working - the most important selling feature for us. When we enquired at reception what can be done, they were not helpful at all. There were inconsistencies with the information provided in the room and what we experienced at breakfast. The gentleman serving at breakfast tried to explain(no fault of his, training is lacking) but it wasn’t very clear. Our initial interaction with the lady who checked us in was good, she was super friendly and helpful, however the other reception person not so much - we did not find the staff equipped to deal with guest as expected.
