Costanero Hotel Montevideo - MGallery Collection

The room is designed for comfort. There are around 15 lighting points, and preset buttons switch between relaxing, ambient and good-morning lighting with one touch. The furniture is stylish, especially the leather chairs and the shelves. The bathroom has a Japanese toilet with all the functions, and the shower lets you start the water without getting wet first. Upgrade to the sea view. The windows cover the whole wall and look straight out onto the ocean waves. I've never seen anything like it. Just sitting and looking out of the window was the calmest, most pleasant part of the stay. The rest of the hotel is just as good. The lobby smells lovely, and the decoration and architecture of the inner courtyard are beautiful. The gym is very well equipped and has big windows overlooking the pool. The pool area is spacious, with good equipment and ventilation. There is even a real Finnish sauna, with a wooden interior, water to pour on the stones and a large window onto the pool. A Finnish sauna in Uruguay was a surprise, and a great place to relax. Afterwards you can sit in the rest room with grapefruit-lemon water. Everything is well thought through. Breakfast is excellent: ocean views and every kind of food and drink you could want. The staff were very helpful, always positive and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.

Honestly, I can't think of anything. I'd stay here again without hesitation.

For an international brand the staff were often very off with English speaking customers. For example at the bar the barman completely ignored us while making best friends with all the Spanish speaking guests
