Wouldn’t bother with this place till upgrades are made to the appartment.

I wouldn’t reccomend this apartment if you’re looking for a cleanliness, a late night or a good night sleep. Instead of an alarm or cockrel, you’ll start your day at 5:00am by the crashing sounds of a dustbin lorry, followed by it friends: trucks. These will go on for who knows how long and will be around to bid you goodnight too. Also around to bid you goodnight, the local drug users! The apartment itself greets you with the following luxuries: stained towels, dirty floors to leave your feet black and a toilet with a mysterious floating black shape. If you’re thinking ‘I don’t need AC’ then I implore you to reconsider: it was so hot inside that my nose bled many times and left a massacre of bloody tissues in the bin. One weak fan does not make up for the lack of AC. On the bright side, since there’s no AC or window in the toilet, you’ll have a personal sauna as you answer mother nature on the loo. Given two stars because there’s a good craft beer brewery down the road and it’s close to the metro.

We had a difficult time because someone had left the parking remote on the top of the refrigerator, which was quite high. It would also have been nice to have 2 fans.

A crappy & very disappointing stay

Location & neighbourhood were fine, and the flat was relatively spacious. The wi-fi was fast.

Where to start? We had to pick up (and return) keys 15 minutes away from the flat. We received a keychain with 7 keys/fobs, but received no explanation on how to use them, which resulted in a hassle to enter the flat. The hallway smelt like burnt cigarettes and wet dogs. Upon entering the flat, there was no info regarding wi-fi, check-out, heating, coffee machine type, etc. Besides the tv remote not working (throughout our stay!), the heating couldn't be turned down everywhere, so this meant we couldn't sleep in the main bedroom. Upon contacting the host (whom we never got to see) via Booking, we were sent information about a remote to control the heating, which was just utter B*S, as the radiator valve was broken. In the kitchen, we found old pads in the coffee machine and food containers with mold/hair within. The chairs were also still on the table (cf. photo) Yuk! In the bathroom, there seemed to be mold as well and the entry to the shower was approximately 50cm wide. Additionally, you needed to step on a platform, which made it difficult to get in and out of the shower. In the bedroom, we found used bedsheets & a used towel. On top of that, there was dust everywhere on the plinths, tables, etc and in the airco machine. If I pay a 100 euro cleaning fee, I expect it to be spotless. Well, quite the contrary, the beds weren't even made and the duvet was not fit for the bed, as it didn't even cover the bed. Fortunately, there was another room with twin beds, but there we were confronted with single-glazing (or sketchy double-glazing at best), which resulted in restless nights as Marseille is quite a loud town (which we don't mind). Despite contacting the host for these issues, we got no real (or idiotic) replies. They couldn't be bothered to come down and fix these issues and I hope no one books this flat. Ever. Just to be clear: I've booked 22 accommodations in the past 4 years, and I have never had such a bad experience.

Apartment is lovely and I would recommend it but be prepared that collecting keys is not easy.

Apartment was very nice and comfortable. However there is a room for improvement, we run out of toilet paper and there were no spare rolls, no hand soap either.

I really did not like that keys had to be collected from a different address, which was a local grocery store. We went there but our key was not there. I had to call the host, then she sent me a different address where we had to collect our keys from. We waisted quite a lot of time on this. I am not sure why is this necessary as there is a concierge in the apartment building . Also there was no instruction to open the lock of the apartment door, we struggled with that a little until concierge helped us in.

Apartment was good location had everything we needed

No communication prior to going total mix up with key location which was most inconvenient had asked for early check in but not possible but they never said a definite yes or no and as it happened with key not at address we were to pick it up we didn't get into the apartment until quite late
